Agadir is a major city in Morocco, located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean near the food of the Atlas Mountains, just north of the point where the Sous River flows into the ocean.
Agadir features a subtropical-semiarid climate with warm summers and mild winters. Located along the Atlantic Ocean, Agadir has a very temperature climate.
The daytime temperature generally stays in the 20s °C (70s °F) every day, with the winter highs typically reaching 20.4 °C or 68.7 °F in December and January. Rainfall is almost entirely confined to the winter months.
Aourir, which was nicknamed "Banana Village" by Jimi Hendrix due to its dense banana groves and its large quantities of bananas sold on the roadside.
This seaside area has become well-known especially for surfing in the winter months. It is situated 10 minutes north of the city of Agadir and about 3.5 hours south of Marrakesh.
Here, you will experience traditional markets, full of fresh fruits and veggies, fish market, plenty of small cafes and restaurants. Banana beach is in walking distance /5 minutes/, the famous surf spot Devil´s rock is nearby.
